Android password doesn't work

Hi guys,

I have a small problem: I can't login with my Android app. I have tried all password that are given in the configuration screen, but none works. I keep getting the 'wrong username / password' error. What should I type in here?

Thanks,
Paul

I don't use a password to login at the webinterface. I just go to 192.168.178.11:8001 and than I'm in Python. Or do you mean the login of my NAS?

Re: Android password doesn't work

In case you forgot your passwort open the user configuration and reset it with:
python pyLoadCore -u

Re: Android password doesn't work

Hi paulvk,

to check your user setting, you need to connect to your nas via telnet or SSH.
Once connected, go into the pyload's instal directory (e.g. /opt/pyload).
Once in the pyload's install directory, execute the command indicated by ranan.

I have tried, googled and errored my ass off, but I can't get this worked. I can't find a manual or any other tips to get connected with hyperterminal. I got stuck at HyperTerminal, it keeps saying 'Unable to connect to [ipaddress readynas] port [23, 22 or 8001]'. Any tips?

At this time I've find out that I should use Putty. After enabling SSH I can't log in, the window disappears after an error message. I give up, for now. This is too frustrating for simply resetting a dumb password.

Re: Android password doesn't work

How did you setup pyLoad if you dont have access via ssh? If you just installed a package for your NAS, then just find out what the default password was.
